About this artist

Vale Montes is a young Catholic Christian singer-songwriter. Born in the state of Florida to Puerto Rican parents, she lived most of her life on the island of Puerto Rico. There she received her elementary education at Colegio Nuestra Señora del Rosario in Ciales and her secondary education at Colegio Inmaculada Concepción in Manatí. Throughout her teenage years, she was actively involved in her parish youth group, “Seguidores de Jesús y María.”

Vale also grew up in a musical environment thanks to her father, Carlos Javier Montes, a member of the Catholic ministry Son By 4. Although her family recognized her musical talent from an early age, her love for children led her to pursue a university degree in Education at the University of Puerto Rico. While completing her studies, Vale also served as a member of the Missionary Team of the Diocese of Arecibo. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, she has dedicated herself to teaching while continuing to compose music alongside her father.

The artist has collaborated with the ministry Son By 4, including the song “Tu Debilidad,” which she recorded as a duet with her uncle Jorge Montes in 2011. In November 2015, she recorded the song “Tu Misericordia” with the group Máxima Adoración, gaining visibility through Christian radio stations in Puerto Rico and Latin America. She has also collaborated with Catholic singer Jesse Demara on the track “Quiso Coronarte.” In addition, she participated in the recording process of several productions by Jesse Demara and Son By 4, providing background vocals.

Her first solo musical production, “Alas” (2021), was produced by Puerto Rican guitarist George De León Jr. The album became one of the most well-received Catholic productions in countries such as Guatemala, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, the southern United States, and the Dominican Republic. Several tracks from the album—Alas, Solo Vive, Tu Misericordia, Vamos Todos, Madre Mía, and Estrella del Cielo—were featured on EWTN Radio Católica Mundial, reaching more than 500 affiliated radio stations across the United States and around the world. On April 23, 2021, Vale Montes was invited by EWTN to appear on the program “Fe Hecha Canción,” where she shared her testimony and performed acoustic versions of songs from the Alas album.
